These are some of the
strongest oil pump pullers on the market and are true to the
original VW design. A common misconception on them is that the T
is a handle. Pull your cover off of the oil pump, pull the gears
out, and insert the T end into the pump. Then put the cover over
threaded stud, then washer and nut to remove. We have heard and
have had these tools fail when the pump is simply in too tight.
In these case you may have to loose the case nuts or freezing
the pump housing with dry ice or something similar. |
